I've been teaching and directing Stage Combat since 1999, creating stage violence for everything from high school and university productions, to both professional non-Equity & Equity theaters, to National Tours of Peter Pan and Camelot.

My main mentors on this path are Gregory Hoffman and DC Wright. I am a Recognized Senior Fight Director, Instructor and Performance Master of Theatrical Combat through Dueling Arts International.

I have been a member of the Governing Board of Dueling Arts International since 2012, and served as its President 2019-2021.
​
In 2018, I began the important work of training with Theatrical Intimacy Education - whose work has been critical to my evolution as a both as an Intimacy Coordinator and Director of Stage Violence.
